"Teaching Java to Everybody"

Who created JJ?

JJ was created mostly by David Epstein (Caltech) and John Motil (CSUN). Many others have donated ideas and suggestions since we began our journey to providing a Java environment designed for education back in 1998.

Who uses JJ?

John Motil has been using JJ at California State University Northridge since 1998 with classes ranging in size from 30 to 150 students. David Epstein used JJ in CS1 at California Institute of Technology in 1999 to over 200 Caltech students. Many others across the world found us on the Internet and use JJ in beginning computer science courses.

Who can use JJ?

Anybody can use JJ: educational institutions, industry and individuals.
